Fire Exit Door With Vision Panels

Fire Exit Doors (With Vision Panels)

There are a few main points to consider prior to purchasing a fire exit door firstly does it need to be fire rated! It may need to be fire exit but not necessarily fire rated; more often than not they are purely exit. The next thing to consider is usage will the staff require access from outside if so an external override will be required, you then need to know how often access will be required, panic bolt hardware is only for emergency exits that are used very rarely for escape only.

If staff are using the doorway regularly for exit and access then a single panic bar or push pad will be more suitable as there are less moving parts and are less susceptible to wear, external overrides are available with knob or handle if they are used only occasionally knobs are better in the case of regular usage a handle is more practical. When selecting fire exit doors for a building it is advisable to check the fire plan and consult a fire officer for the building, once you are aware of the requirements we can specify and manufacture your door made to measure within 10 to 12 working days.
